Author's Debut Reaches Out to Victims of Sexual Brokenness

Testimony offers insight on topics too sensitive for church ministries

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) March 23, 2008 -- If you are struggling with issues of sexual brokenness and are searching for healing, Laurie Morris' debut, Shattered, and Then…A Journey to Sexual Healing and Integration ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-622-5) will provide you with an engaging, hope-filled read. The book--which addresses such sensitive topics as sexual trauma, overcoming homosexuality, and Dissociative Identity Disorder--is the author's testimony of healing from seemingly incurable wounds. Her late husband, David Morris, struggled with sexual addiction as a result of childhood sexual abuse, and he granted her his deathbed permission to reveal matters not easily broached in church ministries.

During the 20-plus years Morris and her husband spent in full-time ministry, the couple walked to healing together. Armed with a passion to reach those lives that are shattered and similarly devastated, Morris makes for a compelling model of transparency. She has reached out over the years with humor and honesty, using prayer counseling form various Christian models.

Says the author, "I am addressing several subjects that are not openly discussed in the Church very often. It's very honest and practical. My teaching is woven into my stories. Anyone reading, leader or not, will come away with applicable truth of how to proceed in their own healing."

Laurie Morris currently resides in North Carolina with her family.
