The Karaoke of Comedy hits London.

A new show hits London, one that allows members of the audience to be the star without any preparation or stage experience. Volunteers are given the chance to perform in comedy scenes with experienced improvisers, with the safety of two directors taking responsibility for the quality of the scenes. If at any point the volunteers are stuck the they can say 'line' and the director will provide direction. "I said and did things that I've never imagined I was capable of. ... You will love the experience and won't leave without joining the mailing list" - Ece Ozdemiroglu

London Bridge, London (PRWEB) March 24, 2008 -- A brand new improvisation show has come to London where the audience members are the stars. Many of us are familiar with improvisation shows through programs such as "Who's line is it anyway" or have seen live shows and enjoyed shouting out bizarre suggestions and watching the performers make them work for our entertainment. The next evolution in improvised comedy has just landed in London.

Went further than any other impro show by breaking down the barriers between audience and performers. The audience weren't just asked to contribute suggestions, but encouraged to perform. You get more out of the evening than watching the show, you actually are the show.
The London Impro Jam asks not only for audience suggestions, but asks for audience members too! Volunteers are encouraged to come on stage and perform with the professionals. Sounds scary? Well actually this show does everything it can to ensure that the volunteer comes away looking great. First the person coming up gets to choose the professional they want on stage with them. For example this month the choices include Alan Marriott who taught Eddie Izzard, and Phil Whelans from Brasseye. Once they've picked their co star they are then guided by two experienced directors who help guide the show. If that wasn't enough, at any point if the volunteer on stage gets stuck, they can look to the directors and say "line" and they will help them out.

"Went further than any other impro show by breaking down the barriers between audience and performers. The audience weren't just asked to contribute suggestions, but encouraged to perform. You get more out of the evening than watching the show, you actually are the show."
- John M Bird, Founding member of ShrimpRocket Impro.

"I thought the show was incredibly entertaining and there was a great atmosphere...I was gutted that I didn't get chosen to play that night - better luck next time!"
- Diane Parker, Professional Improviser

"There was an enjoyable lack of ego - it was really about the audience and the participants more than the performers. The performers just facilitate the fun!"
- Claire Kaplan, Impro instructor at the old town school, Chicago.

"This is original. It's a cool idea, a cool format that hasn't been done elsewhere."
Edgar Fernando, Wimbledon New Attic Theatre
