Director Chuck Griffith Creates Fresh Canvas For Upcoming Film

In staying true to his mission of branding films using a Web 2.0 marketing approach he is pioneering, writer/director Chuck Griffith has launched a new version of his official "Shifting the Canvas" web site that will provide more interactivity to fans of the upcoming film.

New York (PRWEB) March 27, 2008 -- In staying true to his mission of branding films using a Web 2.0 marketing approach he is pioneering, writer/director Chuck Griffith has launched a new version of his official "Shifting the Canvas" web site that will provide more interactivity to fans of the upcoming film.

The spanking new site, www.shiftingthecanvas.com, will present curious fans with detailed background information about the independent heavily-influenced New York film that tackles weighty issues including gentrification, surrogate families and the Tug-of-War between the abstract culture of art and the cold structure of business.

Some of the attractive new features will include:

  • The background story around the film's plot and its associated cast of talented actors and the characters they are portraying on screen.
  • Up-to-date press clips and quotes about the buzzworthy film.
  • A weekly podcast delivered by Griffith, the writer and director of "Shifting the Canvas." Not only will the podcast highlight Griffith's commentary about the film, but will also feature upcoming on-set interviews with each respective cast and select crew members. The podcast is subscribed to by hundreds of people worldwide.
  • Links to corresponding social network fan pages that the film is attached to, including Myspace, Facebook and Buzznet.

Separately, Griffith is gearing up to release "Best of Breed Volume 1," a DVD compilation of award-winning short films that embark upon unveiling important gay issues in an intelligent and artistic manner. The "supernova of queer short films," which will include four shorts, will be released on April 29 through select Internet retailers.

In addition, Griffith has agreed to donate 10 percent of all of its net sales to GLAAD's Youth Empowerment Fund, which seeks to lessen the harsh effects of bigotry on school campuses.

Griffith also recently launched an updated version of his official web site at www.chuckgriffith.com. For more information on all of Griffith's projects, visit www.roaringleo.com.
