I really want my fans and friends, who have enjoyed Bull's BBQ in Ashburn Alley the past four seasons, to be able to bring the taste of the ballyard to the backyard.

"Everyone knows the secret to great barbecue is a great sauce, and 'The Bull BBQ Sauce' is my own secret recipe that I've been using for years," said Luzinski, the four-time National League All-Star who slugged many a memorable home run over his 10 seasons with the Phillies. "I really want my fans and friends, who have enjoyed Bull's BBQ in Ashburn Alley the past four seasons, to be able to bring the taste of the ballyard to the backyard."

Demand for "The Bull BBQ Sauce" has been building, with fans asking Luzinski for his secret since his Bull's BBQ stand opened. Luzinski, who is on hand at every Phillies home game to meet with his fans and share his love of barbecue, decided the time was right.

Luzinski and his son, Ryan Luzinski, have teamed up with ARAMARK to bring "The Bull BBQ Sauce" into the homes of fans throughout the Greater Philadelphia region.

Luzinski and his new "The Bull BBQ Sauce" will be on hand at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia on Friday, March 28th and Saturday, March 29th for a pair of exhibition games pitting the Phillies against the Toronto Blue Jays.

On Monday, March 31st, Luzinski and "The Bull BBQ Sauce" will be in Philadelphia for Opening Day against the Washington Nationals. "The Bull BBQ Sauce" will be available at Citizens Bank Park throughout the 2008 baseball season.

Luzinski was one of the great sluggers of the 1970s and 1980s. Drafted in the first round by the Philadelphia Phillies in the 1968 amateur draft, he played for the Phillies from 1970 to 1980, and the Chicago White Sox from 1981 to 1984.

"The Bull" was second in the MVP voting in 1975 and 1977, and played on the World Series champs in 1980. A native Chicagoan, he was a team leader on the division-winning 1983 White Sox. A four-time All-Star, Luzinski hit 307 career home runs, with seven seasons hitting at least 20 homers and four seasons hitting at least 30 homers.

Now, baseball fans, barbecue fans and fans of "The Bull" can buy "The Bull BBQ Sauce" at 100 Philadelphia-area and South Jersey Acme locations, all Shop-Rite locations owned and operated by the Zallie and Ravitz families, and at Citizens Bank Park.
