Things get even better, as Derrick G plans on donating 50 percent of "USA's" proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project. Through this organization, U.S. soldiers that have been harmed in Iraq and other wars can get the help that they need.

Derrick has also recently released an album entitled "Everyday" that is based on his life experiences and personal observations. The title track, "Everyday" reflects how a person can optimistically deal with the difficulties of life, something that Derrick has first-hand experience with. Growing up poor, Derrick didn't even have access to plumbing in his home. But he didn't let it get him down, as he learned how to appreciate the blessings he did have. "Everyday" is poised to help others in the same manner, especially when they are feeling depressed about their situation.
