Mosaic Harmony Presents 15th Anniversary Concert: "Let it Shine"
Mosaic Harmony, an award-winning, interracial, interfaith choir, celebrates 15 years of service with anniversary concerts on April 26th and May 3, 2008, at McLean High School 1633 Davidson Rd., McLean, Virginia at 7:00p.m. Come Celebrate and "Let it Shine."
Oakton, Virginia (PRWEB) April 9, 2008 -- Mosaic Harmony, the award-winning, interracial, interfaith gospel choir presents two concerts in celebration of 15 years of service in the Greater Washington D.C. area and beyond. Since 1993, Mosaic Harmony has drawn on the rich heritage of African-American inspirational music to demonstrate and encourage unity in the midst of diversity. Mosaic Harmony brings together people of diverse cultures, faiths, ages, and backgrounds to celebrate humanity. The choir represents over 17 faith traditions and performs everything from traditional spirituals to new songs composed by its talented and dynamic director, David North.
Mosaic Harmony's vision is to be a source of inspiration on a local, national, and global level. The organization has raised tens of thousands of dollars for charities including the Brain Tumor Foundation, Habitat for Humanity, the Lakota Nation, organ donors, hospice, palliative care-givers, and orphans with HIV/AIDS in Africa. The group also has provided concerts at the Northern Virginia Mental Health Clinic; a Martin Luther King Day performance at Washington Hospital in DC; a memorial service at Alexandria Hospital, and a performance for residents at Goodwin House, a retirement community in Alexandria, VA
