Central Pennsylvania Technology Partners and eBizITPA to Present Full Day of Comprehensive RFID Education

The Center for eBusiness and Advanced IT (eBizITPA) and technology partners in Central Pennsylvania are teaming up to present two back-to-back educational courses on Radio Frequency Identification Technology (RFID) on April 25, 2008 at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology.

Erie, PA (PRWEB) April 10, 2008 -- Used to track everything from Pepsi to people, Radio Frequency Identification technology (RFID) is changing the face of supply chain management. To help educate the marketplace on this emerging technology, the RFID experts at the Center for eBusiness and Advanced IT (eBizITPA) and the RFID Center of Excellence at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College are presenting back-to-back RFID education courses at Harrisburg University of Science and Technology's campus on April 25, 2008 from 8 a.m. -- 5 p.m.

The first session, Introduction to RFID, provides an overview of RFID technology and capabilities, and features hands-on demonstrations using RFID readers, antennas and tags. The second course, RFID Integration Management, will provide attendees with a strategic vision for integrating RFID into a business enterprise. This session will examine several popular technology packages and explores what they have to offer in the way of RFID functionality. Attendees will learn best practices for using RFID data to streamline business processes and get maximum return on investment.

"RFID adoption is growing at an annual rate of 46%," said Carrie Teetzel, eBizITPA's Director of Education Programs, "Businesses will need to adopt RFID technology, not only to satisfy customer requirements, but to increase productivity and remain competitive in the marketplace."

Supply chain and operations professionals, company executives, IT managers and developers, IT solution providers, and consultants can all benefit from participating in this program.

Registration for this unique educational opportunity is $85 for QMR compliant attendees and $185 for TechQuest partners. Lunch is included. A special meet and greet event is being scheduled for the evening prior to the courses. For more details and to register, visit www.tccp.org, click on "Calendar" and select April 25th.
