The Northwest Legends Touring Series features Legends race cars at tracks throughout Washington, Idaho, Oregon and Montana. Legends race cars are 5/8 scale body style replicas of cars raced in NASCAR events from 1937 through the early 1940's. Using the engines, carburetors and ignitions from the Yamaha FJ1200 motorcycle, Legends race cars are extremely fast and top out at speeds of 140 mph. The Northwest Legends 2008 season opens April 5 at South Sound Speedway in Tenino, Washington. The season continues with a full slate of racing through late September throughout the Northwest. A highlight of the season is the 3rd Annual Northwest Speedweek (June 21-28), a group of four INEX races at tracks in Oregon, Idaho and Montana with a purse of over $20,000.
