Eco-Friendly Lighting Collections Signed on at Showrooms in Los Angeles and San Francisco

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) April 11, 2008 -- Beckmann MooreYaki Studio showrooms in Los Angeles and San Francisco are now representing the award-winning eco-friendly lighting collections of Deniece Duscheone, a nationally recognized designer whose most recent project was the $56 million renovation and re-design of the US Grant Hotel.

"We are proud to announce the launch of this award-winning luxury lighting line," remarked Kristina Moore Yaki, principal of Beckmann MooreYaki Studio. "Deniece brings extraordinary beauty and originality to green lighting."

Duscheone's lighting, marketed under the name Kinetic, offers two different collections of green lighting that share a common feature: They are LED fixtures that are made using environmentally friendly business practices. The lights are constructed with recycled materials by a manufacturer that emphasizes the proper disposal of waste incurred during the manufacturing process.

Duscheone's inspiration for the Bioluminescence line of lighting was a museum exhibit titled "Lights of the Ocean." There are four lights in the collection, Aequorea, Firefly, Cocoon, and Stem. Each fixture is made from recyclable materials, eco-friendly resin and polished aluminum, and uses LED bulbs, which last up to 10 years. Aequorea won the Greenlight Award in 2004.

The Eden collection features six intricate chandeliers - Flur, Stamen, Poppy, Flora-Fauna, Dandelion and Stigma - that incorporate a floral motif. Flur is an elegant chandelier with three tiers that resembles an upside down elongated tulip. Each layer is outlined with recycled aluminum tubing and is filled with hanging strands of crystal. The ends of each tier flare out on eight sides to emulate flower petals.

Duscheone has worked on large-scale architecture and interior design projects across the United States as a partner in the San Diego architecture and design firm S.K.I.N. Most recently, she was the lead designer and project manager for the $56 million renovation of the historic US Grant Hotel in San Diego. Duscheone designed Flur for the pair of Presidential Suites at the US Grant.

Duscheone's work has been acknowledged with international awards and publications. Her work on the US Grant was awarded the California Construction award for Best Architectural Renovation in 2006, the Alanzo Award for Best Design, and HotelWorld's award in the category of Best Luxury Guestroom Design. Duscheone is LEED certified through the U.S. Green Building Council.

"I'm amazed by the breadth and caliber of artisan-made furnishings offered by Beckmann MooreYaki Studio," says Duscheone. "I am delighted that my lighting is in showrooms that cater to high-end residential and hospitality markets."

Beckmann MooreYaki Studio has been supplying textiles, lighting, select furniture and contemporary accessories for high-end residential and hospitality projects, including 5-star hotels, restaurants, private clubs, boutiques, jets and yachts, for the past 18 years. The company prides itself on carrying hand-crafted, hand-finished and fully customizable product.
