This week's episode introduces viewers to the Dog Lovers Wine Club - a fantastic way to sample great wines while supporting dog rescue organizations, nationwide.
All of which is a fancy way of saying I've waited tables, bartended and organized events for numerous restaurants and caterers, picking up tips and secrets along the way. Now, I get to share them.

(PRWEB) April 14, 2008 -- The Web-based lifestyle show Six Minute Style kicks off its newest section--Good--with an episode dedicated entirely to wine, dogs and philanthropy.

Six Minute Style Host Susan Doherty describes Good as a vehicle to focus more attention on doing and feeling good, noting that one often follows the other. Topics will run the gamut from causes worth supporting to music perfect for a workout to at-home spa treatments sure to leave one feeling … good.

In this week's inaugural Good episode, Doherty interviews Dog Lovers Wine Club co-founder Fleet Hamilton. Filmed on location in Santa Barbara's wine country, the episode gives viewers the perfect opportunity to feel good while doing good: join the Dog Lovers Wine Club--monthly, bimonthly and quarterly memberships are available--and feel good knowing that 10 percent of all sales go directly to dog rescue groups, shelters and humane societies, nationwide. If that's not good enough, Doherty adds, "These are serious wines. You won't be disappointed by the amazing varietals handcrafted by the Carvinitas winery and by well-known guest winemakers."

For Doherty, who is also the show's executive producer, Good is the logical next step for the burgeoning five-month-old Web site. With more than 2,000 hits per month, Six Minute Style was recently singled out by Go Daddy (where it is hosted) as a featured success story and is racking up hits on YouTube and via RSS feeds. "Viewers are responding positively to what we're offering and asking for more ideas, tips and trends," she says. "Good is one more way to meet those needs. Besides, there's enough bad news out there. Being a resource for good news is, well, good."

About Six Minute Style
Six Minute Style, a lifestyle Web site and video podcast, serves up a lot of information in a short amount of time. Created for busy women interested in cooking, entertaining, wines, travel destinations and new products, the program presents lifestyle tips in a fresh, innovative way.

Past episodes have included an easy-to-make floral arrangement, Signature Cocktails, and Chuck It (which household items to toss and when). There was even a two-part series on baby showers. This unexpected mix of story angles--babies, going green and cocktails--is by design. According to Doherty, the interesting balance is precisely the point.

"Women are complex," she says, "and so are their interests. I wanted to create an accessible resource that offers quick and easy information on a variety of subjects." Plus, she adds, "Mixing it up keeps it interesting for me, too."

In addition to the weekly video and Must Haves, the Web site features Travel, Party Ideas and Show and Tale, a section devoted to film and book reviews.

To keep things fresh, Doherty draws from her varied career path to find inspiration. "For years, I worked as a freelance writer, marketing consultant and producer/director/actor," she explains. "All of which is a fancy way of saying I've waited tables, bartended and organized events for numerous restaurants and caterers, picking up tips and secrets along the way. Now, I get to share them."
