(PRWEB) April 14, 2008 -- Big Island Film Festival, which celebrates independent narrative filmmakers and their movies, has selected "A Final Dance" as part of its slate of films. Only 47 short and feature films from around the world were chosen. "A Final Dance" is a romantic story about enduring love. An old woman finds a surprise in a long passage way. She finds she is young again, and dancing with her long-lost love. Starring: Claudia Blair, Kate Reavis, and Guido Furlani.
Director of "A Final Dance," Michael I. Collins, reflects, "There are many different views of dying and what happens in between--views on life after death, the idea of life flashing before your eyes, and the existence of ghosts and angels. 'A Final Dance' tells the story of one woman's experience."
"A Final Dance" is a non-dialogue short film shot at UCLA in Los Angeles.
The Big Island Film Festival runs May 15 - 18 at Waikoloa Beach Resort on the famed Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. The movies are shown at two outdoor venues and one indoor venue. The festival also includes food and beverage events, an awards brunch, filmmaker panels, Hawaiian music and culture.
