New Book Asks What's Your Baby Trying to Say to You?

Children deserve parents who are willing to listen and change says new book.

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 17, 2008 -- It seems obvious that a child raised in a good environment will make better choices, but author Greg Gilbert wants to make sure parents are aware of that. In his book If Your Baby Could Talk, Would You Listen? A Baby's Thoughts on Raising Good Parents (paperback, 978-1-60477-579-2) Gilbert underscores the important role parents play.

"The happiness, success, and future of a child depend so much on the parents, the choices they make, and the foundation they lay," says Gilbert. "It is too late to change the past, but you can start today and create a new future." He reminds readers "there are no guarantees of successful parenting, but if you do the right thing often enough it will improve your chances at success and happiness." He hopes readers will see the value and importance of raising children in a Christian home where both Mom and Dad are equally committed.

According to the author, "A parent is either learning and improving or staying the same as time passes by them and the child. But children deserve parents who are willing to do the things and make the changes to increase the odds of a child's happiness and success." He adds, "Most of us have probably heard parents say, 'I want it better for my kids,' and often they mean material things. But we sometimes forget the importance of time spent with children in activities, establishing values, and Christian development, says Gilbert.

Greg Gilbert spent 11 years as an area manager of human resources for more than 2,000 employees.
