Noted Attorney Vicki Roberts Celebrates 25th Anniversary Milestone
Vicki Roberts: From the Courtroom to the Academy Awards, 25 Years of Adventure
Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) April 18, 2008 -- Attorney, legal commentator, author, and producer Vicki Roberts celebrates her 25th anniversary as a legal eagle on June 3, 2008. Throughout her two and a half decades of legal practice, Roberts has seen and done it all: civil litigation, criminal defense, appellate work, presiding as a Judge Pro Tem over thousands of trials, practicing entertainment law, representing famous actors, and being a much sought-after legal commentator.
"The litigation road is a bumpy one that's not for the faint of heart," Roberts reflects. "While I had many rewarding experiences during my long tenure in the legal system, I am acutely aware of how far we have yet to go in terms of equality and justice for all." Roberts continued, "People are people before they are jurors, lawyers, or even judges - they bring to the table all of their predispositions, experiences, and quirks. More recently most people know Vicki Roberts from her varied appearances on television and in motion pictures. She has a recurring guest starring role on the nationally syndicated television series, Jury Duty, and is often seen or quoted on entertainment news shows and in publications and magazines worldwide.
Vicki has also made her mark in guest starring roles in motion pictures such as the recently released mockumentary, Being Michael Madsen, where she plays an attorney (Roberts acknowledges, tongue in cheek, "I know it's a stretch!") and the acclaimed full length documentary, Through Your Eyes, which she also co-executive produced.
Perhaps the biggest splash, however, was the now legendary videotape from the 2008 Academy Awards red carpet interview with Ryan Seacrest, Gary Busey, Jennifer Garner, Laura Linney, and Vicki Roberts that circled the globe. Vicki accompanied her long time client, Gary Busey, to the Oscars and is introduced by Gary to Ryan on the tape. When asked what it was like to be part of Academy Award history in the now legendary video, Vicki replied laughingly, "In 2006 I had attended the Academy Awards and did interviews on the red carpet with Gary and didn't receive nearly the press coverage, but the 2008 event certainly was more memorable to the rest of the world!" She then added demurely and with a grin, "Do you think they'll ask us back?"
