All girls ages 4 -- 18 years old are eligible and encouraged to apply. As the nation's largest pageant organization, the National American Miss Pageants are dedicated to celebrating America's greatness and encouraging its future leaders. The pageant is due to be held Saturday May 10th, 2008 at the Peabody Little Rock, on 3 Statehouse Plaza, Little Rock, Arkansas. Available times are 12:15pm, 2:15pm, or 4:15pm. Interested participants are asked to come dressed as they would for a job interview/audition. Bring a school photo or a small snapshot and invite family members to join in.
Focusing on "Today's Girl" and "Tomorrow's Leaders", National American Miss truly embodies all worth celebrating in young ladies. Each year, the pageant awards thousands of dollars in scholarships and prizes to recognize and assist the development of young women throughout the
nation. Because the National American Miss Pageant believes in natural beauty, there is not a swimsuit competition, as well as a no make-up rule for ages 12 and under. The scoring for these pageants is based on personality and confidence. At this state pageant, more than $25,000 in cash, prizes and modeling scholarships will be awarded; the winner also receives their official state crown, banner, and trophy. Most importantly, the winner receives a $1,000 cash award, entrance fee paid to the national pageant and her airfare to the national pageant, held in Anaheim, California, during Thanksgiving week. At which time she will receive a fun filled day in Disneyland® for two, and a tour through the legendary streets of Hollywood for two. At every pageant, all activities are age-appropriate and family-oriented. The pageant program is based on inner beauty, as well as poise, presentation, and offers an "All American Spirit" of fun for family and friends.
