The day is the brainchild of the, Alliance of Independent Media Stores, Coalition Of Independent Music Stores, Music Monitor Network, Newbury Comics, Value Music Group and is supported by the American Association of Independent Music and hundreds of artists and retailers who will join as one, with unique instore activities.

The Record Store Day activities vary, but one thing is for sure, music lovers on Long Island are sure to have a blast as native, amberRose Marie celebrates the release of her hot new Billboard hit single, "Destiny" from shore to shore. Long Island Radio stations 106.1 BLI and Party 101.5 & 105.3 WDRE are joining the fun with special goodies designed with Long Island flair for their listeners.
