Xulon Writer's Journey as Author Begins with Launch of Book

Debut brings hope and healing to those devastated by brokenness

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 19, 2008 -- Catherine Mae Clifford's new release, The Journey Begins ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-60477-845-8), is a book based on the author's walk through healing and deliverance in the mountains of Tennessee, where she learned how to gain insight into the reason for her life's many trials, tribulations, and tests. An abuse victim who looked for love in every wrong place, the author had to navigate deep valleys in her life--from the heartache of divorce, to being co-dependent and having a course of self-destruction set in her life--until the Lord stepped in and called her to Himself. Ever since then, she has dedicated her life to Him and to the teaching of His Word. Now she hopes to share her experience--all the things she learned on the "trailhead to the throne of God"--with readers in similar circumstances.

Says Clifford, "In this book, I share the gold nuggets that Jesus showed me through hikes in the mountains of Tennessee. The reader will see firsthand that nothing happens in our lives that God is not involved in. Our steps are ordered by God and He does work all things for our good and His glory. This book is designed to draw all into His bosom, knowing you can come sit at His feet, drink from His living water, lean back against Him, and rest and feel His heartbeat!"

A native of Louisiana, Clifford has watched God heal and restore people right before her eyes through the teaching and preaching of the Word of God. It was through the author's own dependence on Him that she began to see every area that had been broken in her life restored, rebuilt, and renewed. "Lies of the enemy were replaced with God's truth about who I was to Him, and from that faithful day in April 1990, all things indeed became new," she says.

Catherine Mae Clifford is married and has six children and four grandchildren.
