Free Yourself From Society's Mind Pollution Through Revolutionary New Book

Bob Gebelein's "The Mental Environment (Mostly About Mind Pollution)" is the first book to examine the mental environment at this level of depth and understanding.

Provincetown, MA (PRWEB) April 21, 2008 -- In his pioneering new book, "The Mental Environment (Mostly About Mind Pollution)" (ISBN 9780961461119, Omdega Press, 2007) author Bob Gebelein introduces readers to the mental environment and the surprising depth of mind pollution in today's culture.

Many readers may be unfamiliar with the terms in the book's title, but Gebelein provides a simple, reader-friendly definition to explain the premise of his book: "Human beings as social creatures are immersed in a sea of other people's thoughts. This mental environment, like the air, is invisible, but also like the air it has an affect on our lives, especially if it is polluted," Gebelein says. "By 'mind pollution,' I just mean things we are persuaded to believe that are not accurate."

"The Mental Environment" shows readers how to free their mental environment from mind pollution. The book dissects the most important thought influences in modern culture and shares Gebelein's own journey toward creating a new way of thinking and living. Gebelein believes psychotherapy is key to mental and spiritual growth, and says undergoing psychotherapy will bring greater understanding to the concepts in his book.

Though "mind pollution" is commonly associated with media influence, Gebelein introduces a deeper understanding of it, with examples ranging from peer pressure, to the childhood learning of "right" and "wrong." "The Mental Environment" argues that these influences become so internalized that a person may not even realize the pollution is there, which gives it incredible power over that person's life.

In "The Mental Environment," Gebelein examines what he believes to be the three most important belief systems of our present culture: religion, academia and the New Age Movement. When people subscribe to these inherently erred belief systems, they are not truly thinking for themselves, Gebelein says. Some of the errors he points out include academia's prejudice against the spiritual and the inner social conformity of New Age, a movement that claims to break free from such constraints.

"The Mental Environment" is a groundbreaking book showing readers how to follow in Gebelein's footsteps, and create a brand new, truly free way of thinking and living.

About the Author
