Award-Winning Musician and Songwriter Jimmy White Plans Over 30 New Songs

The best is yet to come from adult contemporary singer/songwriter Jimmy White, who is not resting on his laurels after winning awards and notoriety on the AC charts. He is hard at work in the studio working on more than 30 new songs for release in 2008 and 2009.

Ship Bottom, NJ (PRWEB) April 23, 2008 -- Award-winning adult contemporary (AC) artist, singer/songwriter Jimmy White is working on over 30 new songs for upcoming release, and plans tour dates later this year with his new band "Brake (the Fall)."

White was named by "New Music Weekly Magazine" as "Best New Artist for 2006." In November 2007, he was nominated in two categories and won the prestigious "Crossover Artist of the Year" at the New Music Awards show held at the famous Avalon Theater in Hollywood.

White's music has dominated the AC charts with songs like "Change My Life" from his debut album, "One Track Heart" which rose to number one on the STS main Adult Contemporary (AC) chart for two weeks, and held at number one for 15 weeks on the independent AC chart. His second number one single, "One Track Heart," dominated the main AC chart for five weeks and placed him at the number four position on the overall Hot 100 top 40/AC chart, next to John Mayer, Hinder, Beyonce and Christina Aguilera. "My My Maria" became the third number one single from "One Track Heart," and "Sure Feels Like Love," the first number one from his second album, "Hidden Pictures."

His success has led to a major new agreement with Aspirion records in Nashville for the promotion and release of his new work, starting with his latest album titled "Sure Feels Like Love," containing the number one single of the same name. Aspirion is the winner of Nashville's "Label of the Year" for the past two years.

White is in the studio putting the finishing touches on a brand new album, to be titled "Chasing The Wind," which will include the pre-released single, " I Wish You Peace," a song that hit the holiday top five in only three weeks of release in December 2007. He is working on over 30 new songs in the studio that are planned for release in 2008 and 2009.

Outside of the studio, White can found performing with newly formed rock band "Brake (the Fall)," named after one of his new songs. The group is planning tour dates for later this year.

White is a prolific composer, continually writing new songs and exploring new ways to express his passion for music and for life.

Samples of his music, a free download of his current hit single, and lyrics to all the songs on his CDs can be found on his web site at http://www.JimmyWhiteMusic.com
