New Xulon Title Finds the Messiah in 2 Samuel

Author writes that story of David contains a prophecy of the gospel

Longwood, FL (PRWEB) April 26, 2008 -- In The Scroll of the Gospel of David (paperback, 978-1-60647-161-6), author Tony Robinson hopes to show that the story of David's flight from Absalom, as recorded in 2 Samuel 15:10-20:2, "contains a thematic prophecy of the death, burial and resurrection of Messiah Yeshua in three days." He believes the passage proves this is "the most prophesied event concerning the Messiah in the Old Testament."

The author uses an ancient Scripture interpretation technique called "thematic analysis" to demonstrate that the 2 Samuel verses follow the four New Testament Gospel accounts chronologically, proving "in an almost irrefutable manner that Jesus is the prophesied Messiah."

The author hopes the book will "open the eyes of its readers to see and understand how extensively the Bible is connected by themes and literary patterns." He says interpreting these patterns will allow readers to "see many messianic prophecies concerning the life and mission of Jesus that may not have been discovered until now." The author notes that "these literary patterns and the inescapable conclusions they point to concerning the work of Jesus are some of the most profound proofs of the inspiration of both the Old and New Testaments."

Tony Robinson is a writer, teacher, worship leader and songwriter who has been involved in messianic ministry for the past seven years. He has a bachelor's degree in chemistry and a master's in analytical chemistry and lives in Ringgold, Georgia, with his wife and children.
