"Money Talks" Moving to 920 AM WGKA

The voice of money airs loud and clear beginning May 4 on 920 AM WGKA. Atlanta listeners tune in to learn about investments and personal finances.

Atlanta (PRWEB) April 30, 2008 -- "Money Talks," Atlanta's longest running, most respected money show on radio, is joining 920 AM WGKA's weekend lineup airing on Sundays from 9 to 11 a.m. starting May 4.

"Our move to 920 AM WGKA is very exciting," said Gene W. Henssler, Ph.D., founder and co-host of Money Talks. "Dr. Gene," as he is known to long-time listeners, began "Money Talks" 21 years ago after successful guest spots with Neal Boortz. "Our show will return to the two-hour format, allowing us to delve further into topics and how they relate to money, markets, the economy and personal finances."

Henssler offers his fact-based, no-nonsense financial advice during the weekly call-in show with Bil Lako, CFP®, and Ted Parrish, CFA, both principals at The Henssler Financial Group. They broadcast live from the firm's Kennesaw, Ga. office.

"The 'Money Talks' radio show laid the foundation for our firm, so returning to the expanded format will allow us to really focus on how day-to-day trends affect your investment decisions," said Lako.

WGKA Program Director Jeff Carter is pleased to welcome "Money Talks" to the Sunday morning lineup. "With the two-hour format, the show will feature a sophisticated combination of financial topics and interviews with economic, corporate and political newsmakers in addition to fielding caller's questions on topics such as retirement planning and investments," said Carter.

"Almost any news topic relates back to a consumer's wallet," said Lako. "We've found that listeners are concerned with what affects their daily finances, not just their long-term investments."

"Money drives our world, and people want to know how economic, corporate, even political news will affect them, whether it is the price of gas or the price of their HDTVs," added Parrish, who is also the Director of Investments for The Henssler Financial Group.

"Money Talks" has a corresponding Web section at www.henssler.com. Each week, the articles referenced on the show are posted in this section -- allowing listeners to follow along with the show hosts. Visitors can also listen to or download the previous week's show. For more information visit www.henssler.com and click on "Learn About 'Money Talks' Radio Show."

Other experts from The Henssler Financial Group who appear on "Money Talks" include Jennifer Thomas, CFP®, a professional in personal financial planning and retirement; Scott Keller, CFA, who specializes in small-business retirement plans and investment selection; Karen Rinehart, CFP®, an education planning expert; and Mike Quinlan, an authority on strategic business planning and corporate performance management.

About The Henssler Financial Group

With assets under advisement of more than $1.22 billion as of March 31, 2008, The Henssler Financial Group has been delivering comprehensive financial solutions to its individual, corporate and institutional clients for 20 years.

"Money Talks" radio show listeners wanted Henssler to apply the same fact-based, no nonsense approach that he had on his show to their own financial endeavors. The firm was founded in 1987 to meet this growing interest. Henssler reviewed portfolios and offered investment advice on an hourly, fee-only basis.

Today, The Henssler Financial Group provides solutions that incorporate a range of services including wealth management, financial planning, tax preparation and consulting, small-business retirement planning and estate planning.

"Dr. Gene" is Professor Emeritus of Finance at Kennesaw State University.
