Fashion Magazine ZOOZOOM Makes Motion Picture History; Launches First Full Screen Video Cover

ZOOZOOM, known as the 'Original Online Glossy' launches the first full-screen moving magazine cover.

(PRWEB) May 1, 2008 -- Move over Harry Potter. ZOOZOOM magazine's latest cover model blinks; her hair blows in the wind; she's alive. It rivals the wizardry of Harry Potter's moving picture frames, and no offense Harry, but it's a lot more fashionable.

Working their own form of magic, ZOOZOOM, known as the 'Original Online Glossy,' launches the first full-screen moving magazine cover. The first to market magazine with a full-screen format, ZOOZOOM has enriched its media by incorporating moving covers that translate the ZOOZOOM aesthetic to video-rich full-screen motion. Since its inception, ZOOZOOM's goal has been to deliver a high end multi-media fashion magazine; now that bandwidth, processor speed, and software have caught up with the magazine's vision, it has become a reality.

See the cover at http://www.zoozoom.com.

ZOOZOOM is not trying to recreate the narrative of movies; that's already been done. They are simply creating photographs that move, like extended moments in time.

'This is just the beginning. As digital video quality increases, it becomes possible to discover a space between traditional video and stills, a brand new media- one that allows us new ways to communicate,' said Publisher David McIntyre. 'Technology and fashion are both about change and communication. Our readers are always looking for a brand new experience, and we are up to the challenge of providing it.'

'We are constantly researching new technology. We think the web offers more possibilities in mixed media than print ever could. It's exciting to demonstrate the web's potential and evolve ZOOZOOM as quickly as technology allows us to,' said CEO Mike Hartley. ZOOZOOM plans to explore fullscreen video in the form of moving covers, as well as future fashion, beauty, culture stories, and new ad-unit possibilities.'

The cover story which features Q model Georgina explores 'This Freedom', a theme culled from 'The Roaring Twenties' obsession with forward-thinking women. The editorial features both video and still photography in a collaboration between David McIntyre & Mike O'Shea.

So while Sci-fi's gravity defying cars might be some way off, at least some aspects of our vision of tomorrow have arrived today (Thursday 1st May 2008).
