West Coast Mastering, a New CD / Audio Mastering Service Launches a New Web Site

West Coast Mastering is a CD and audio mastering service based out of Reno, Nevada and has launched a new website, http://westcoastmastering.com.

(PRWEB) May 3, 2008 -- The purpose of our new website is to help people who are new to the concept or idea of mastering their music, understand in a simplified manner, what mastering is, what a mastering company does for them, and help them better determine why it may or may not be for them.

"CD mastering is such an important process for the recording artist," says Michael Stosic, owner and mastering engineer. "Artists spend so much time and money on recording their music, and they should never overlook the finishing touch, mastering their work."

Artists spend so much time and money on recording their music, and they should never overlook the finishing touch, mastering their work.
It is a process Michael loves, taking an artists piece of music, and as good as the work may already sound, giving it a little extra sparkle by using Multi-band Compressors, Equalizers and Limiters, making the music a little richer and fatter and smoother sounding.

"Mastering is really more than adding bells and whistles to make the music sound better. It is also, as important, if not most importantly, preparing the CD for replication, by doing heads and tails editing of each song, which is a process of taking out un-needed space at the beginning and end of the songs, putting the songs in the proper order and spacing between each song, and making it Red Book compliant which is the CD standard, meaning the Cd's will be able to play on any CD player," says Michael.

West Coast Mastering is a division of Michael Stosic Music Productions, Ltd. Michael has been in the recording business since 1986, based initially out of Seattle, Washington. Michael is an Honors Graduate of the Recording Workshop School of Audio and Music Production in Chillicothe, Ohio.
