INM Presenting at WebManiacs Conference

Laurent Brigaut presents session about design patterns and the PureMVC Framework at upcoming WebManiacs Conference

Montreal, Canada (PRWEB) May 13, 2008 -- Integration New Media, Inc. (INM), a leader in creating rich user experiences, announced today that Laurent Brigaut, INM's Director of Research & Development will be presenting at the upcoming WebManiacs conference in Washington, DC. Sponsored by Adobe and Fig Leaf Software, WebManiacs is a five day event for web developers, which focuses on website development in ColdFusion and rich Internet application (RIA) development using Adobe Flex and AIR.

Mr. Brigaut will be presenting a session entitled "Using Design Patterns and the PureMVC Framework to Effectively Build Online and Offline Applications". This session focuses on how design patterns, implemented through an application framework, can enhance team development of RIAs.

"By using design patterns throughout the development process, you can provide developers with a structured way to solve common problems," says Laurent Brigaut, director of research and development at INM. "This translates into more efficient and consistent development, and creates an end-product that's easy to maintain and evolve."

PureMVC is a lightweight framework for creating applications based upon the classic "Model, View and Controller" concept. Based upon proven design patterns, this free, open source framework, which was originally implemented in the ActionScript 3 language for use with Adobe Flex, Flash and AIR, has now been ported to nearly all major development platforms.

"The PureMVC Framework is a great resource for organizations that are looking to add structure and consistency to their team application development," said Cliff Hall, project architect of the PureMVC Framework. "By using a simple set of proven design patterns it reduces confusion about the roles and relationships of classes within the application. Because the best practices are well documented, developers can get up to speed quickly, and focus on the business problem at hand as opposed to solving basic problems, such as how pass data around in the application without making a maintenance-challenged web of dependencies. For teams using PureMVC on more than one platform, the real benefits arise from using the same methodology everywhere."

Mr. Brigaut's session takes place on May 22, 2008 at 11:00 am. For more information, or to register, please visit: http://www.webmaniacsconference.com/.
