Detroit, MI (PRWEB) May 14, 2008 -- Passion Productions, LLC presents an Ol' School House Party -- Concert -- Dance featuring Ali Woodson, formerly of The Temptations and Shirley Jones of The Jones Girls. The night will be hosted by DJ Tyrone "The Godfather" Bradley on Saturday, June 28, 2008 at Bert's Warehouse Theatre, 2739 Russell Street, Detroit, MI 48207. Tickets are $25 for general admission and $40 VIP. Doors open at 8 p.m.
Born in Detroit, Michigan, Shirley Jones and her sisters, The Jones Girls topped the charts in the 70's and 80's with "You Gonna Make Me Love Somebody Else", "Danced Turned Into A Romance" and their Grammy-nominated "Nights Over Egypt".
In 1986, Shirley Jones' debut solo album "Always in the Mood" was a chart topper with "Do You Get Enough Love". Shirley has been touring nationally to rave reviews to sold out audiences.
For more than thirteen years, Ali Woodson performed with the Legendary Temptations. Woodson had to fill the shoes of two of the most powerful singers of all time, David Ruffin and Dennis Edwards. He stepped in and took the Temptations to another level topping the charts with "Treat Her Like A Lady" and "Lady Soul".
As a solo artists, Woodson has performed with Aretha Franklin, Natalie Cole, Whitney Houston, Chaka Khan, Patti Austin, Howard Hewett, The Ojay's, Al Green, Charlie Wilson and The Gap Band, The Four Tops, and many more.
