One Year On-Line: Wine Travel Guides Announces New Web Features and Guides

Wine Travel Guides, the website that provides on-line travel guides for wine tours, celebrates its first birthday by planning new features and guides. New features will include a travel resource page to wine countries around the world. New guides to wine regions of Italy and Spain will be added to the existing list of 46 guides to the wine regions of France.

London, UK (PRWEB) May 19, 2008 -- The Wine Travel Guides website is celebrating a year on-line by promising new practical features and the publication of on-line travel guides to more wine countries.

All You Need for a Great Wine Trip
All You Need for a Great Wine Trip

My son and I are doing a food/wine trip in the Rhône and the level of detailed local insight you give on growers, restaurants and hotels isn't equaled by any other source I've found.
Launched in May 2007 by wine writer Wink Lorch for wine lovers who enjoy independent travel, there are already over 45 independent on-line travel guides to French wine regions. Written by top specialist wine and travel writers, they offer the insider's view on each region and are available by annual subscription exclusively on-line.

As well as practical information, each wine country travel guide features recommendations of wine producers to visit as well as places to stay, eat and shop. Every selected winery, restaurant and accommodation has full contact details, live email and website links, and in future will include useful GPS coordinates, which will be added over the next three months.

Following requests from existing subscribers and visitors to the site, new guides to some of the principal wine regions of Italy, Spain, Germany and Portugal will be published by the end of 2008. In addition, there will be a new wine travel resource section on the website providing essential information for wine tasting trips across the globe.

The website has attracted particular praise from existing subscribers. One subscriber wrote: "My son and I are doing a food/wine trip in the Rhône and the level of detailed local insight you give on growers, restaurants and hotels isn't equaled by any other source I've found." Another commented: "I had just finished planning a trip to Alsace when I came across this website - it could have saved me a lot of time, cost and effort researching across many guides and websites."

Owner of the website, wine writer Wink Lorch continues her stance of refusing advertisements on the website, insisting that this ensures the objectivity of the guides. She commented: "The recommended wine producers and places to stay, eat and shop have been selected by our expert contributing writers entirely on their merits and not on the basis of any advertising or sponsorship."

Visitors to Wine Travel Guides are encouraged to view or download a free sample Guide which is accessible by simple registration. To view further guides, visitors need to subscribe or purchase a gift subscription through the secure on-line payment system.

Further information can be found by visiting Wine Travel Guides on-line. To discuss the development of the website, contact Wink Lorch directly.
