Little People of Laredo, TX, Becomes First Day Care Member in South Texas of DIGIKIDS® Child ID Program

DIGIKIDS® announces that Little People Day Care Center has become the first day care in South Texas to provide the DIGIKIDS® Child ID Program.

Laredo, TX (PRWEB) May 22, 2008 -- DIGIKIDS® is proud to announce that Little People Day Care Center of Laredo, Texas has become the first member in South Texas to provide its families a highly prized emergency preparedness kit, joining more than fifty daycares nation wide. The DIGIKIDS® Child ID Program is the most advanced and effective child safety ID program available today.

Christine Tamez, Director of Little People Day Care Center North says, "Parents were very excited to be able to get such an innovative protection for their children. It is an invaluable tool for them. As a Day Care owner, it is very important for me to provide the opportunity for our parents to get this service, because they recognize that their children safety is our top priority."

"To me, the fact that all is done on site, with no information going out of my center is what made me feel reassured. I wouldn't feel at ease knowing that a child's information is stored on a database and being processed I don't know where. Besides, it was great that every kit was delivered the very same day we held the event, right here, at my center," said Victoria Tamez, Director of Little People Day Care Center South.

DIGIKIDS® offers a child safety CD that allows parents to quickly provide law enforcement officials, the media, the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), and other agencies with two high-resolution digital photos along with medical and identifying information to aid in recovery efforts. It also includes an ID card, DNA kit, fingerprint, and dental chart.

Sara and Eduardo Hinojosa introduced DIGIKIDS® in February 2008 to the counties of Webb, Jim Hogg, Zapata, Starr, and portions of Hidalgo in South Texas, and it is present in nineteen states.
