CompassLearning Executive Leads Planning Efforts for Local Cattle Barron's Ball

Vice-President of Development Frank Ginac and his wife Linda Ginac lead efforts to raise funds for American Cancer Society

Austin, TX (Vocus/PRWEB ) May 22, 2008 -- As the Vice-President of Development for CompassLearning, an educational software company based in Austin, event planning is not a daily job duty for Frank Ginac. Nonetheless, Ginac along with his wife Linda have had great success as co-chairs of the May 31st Cattle Baron's Ball benefiting the American Cancer Society.

The Austin Cattle Baron's Ball has been fundraising for the American Cancer Society since 1993. Proceeds from the Ball, fund almost $300,000 in cancer research annually. In recent years, more than $1,600,000 has gone to cancer research in Austin. Besides the research efforts, funds support services such as patient transportation to treatment, hotel rooms for out-of-town treatments and summertime camps for children with cancer.

Linda and I are honored to lead the 15th anniversary celebration of the Austin Cattle Barron's Ball
CompassLearning, Ginac's employer, supported his efforts and employees pitched in to assist with event planning details. CompassLearning also provided meeting space for committee gathering in the company's downtown office.

"Linda and I are honored to lead the 15th anniversary celebration of the Austin Cattle Barron's Ball," said Frank Ginac, vice president of development for CompassLearning. "The generous contributions from fellow Austinites will build a better future for cancer patients and survivors through research, education, advocacy, and service.
