Palm Springs, CA (PRWEB) May 8, 2007 -- Award-winning Christian author Barbara Johnson has formed a foundation in her name to help families through difficult circumstances. Barbara Johnson, founder of Spatula Ministries thirty years ago and a regular speaker since 1996 with Women of Faith, a national touring Women's Christian Conference organization said, "By forming the foundation we can reach many more people and provide the helping hand of counseling and support for families experiencing loss and grief."
Barbara Johnson said her eldest surviving son, David Johnson, will serve as Executive Director of the foundation. Mr. Johnson said, "By creating the foundation and utilizing our website, www.barbaraspatulajohnson.com, we can provide insightful information and referrals to facilitate families seeking Christian counselors or support groups in their local areas. This data-base will also feature my mother's humorous monthly newsletter, The Love Line and, The Encouragement Project, an on-line message board for people in crisis."
Barbara's books include: Stick a Geranium In Your Hat and Be Happy, Splashes of Joy in the Cesspools of Life, Pack Up Your Gloomies in a Great Big Box then Sit on the Lid and Laugh!, Mama Get the Hammer, There's A Fly On Papa's Head, I'm So Glad You Told Me What I Didn't Want to Hear, Living Somewhere Between Estrogen and Death, He's Gonna Toot and I'm Gonna Scoot, Daily Splashes of Joy, Humor Me--I'm Your Mother, Laughter From Heaven, Stick a Geranium in Your Cranium, Leaking Laffs Between Pampers and Depends, God's Most Precious Jewels are Crystalized Tears and many others.
