Bruno Event Team Selected to Manage the 2009 U.S. Senior Open
Bruno Event Team, LLC., a Birmingham, Alabama based sports marketing and event management company, has been selected as the management company for the 2009 U.S. Senior Open Championship, to be held July 27 - August 2 at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
Birmingham, AL (Vocus/PRWEB ) April 6, 2007 -- Bruno Event Team, LLC., a Birmingham, Alabama based sports marketing and event management company, has been selected as the management company for the 2009 U.S. Senior Open Championship, to be held July 27 - August 2 at Crooked Stick Golf Club in Carmel, Indiana.
The U.S. Senior Open is one of 13 United States Golf Association (USGA) Championships held annually throughout the country. The Championship features the best senior golfers (age 50 and over) competing for the National Championship; golfers expected to compete include: Tom Watson, Mark O'Meara, Hale Irwin and Nick Price.

Bruno Event Team's experience includes the 2004-2007 U.S. Senior Opens and the 1998, 2002, and 2004-2006 U.S. Women's Opens. Bruno Event Team will also oversee the 2008 U.S. Senior Open at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs, Colo., July 28-August 3. Additionally, Bruno Event Team will manage both the 2008 U.S. Women's Open, at Interlachen Golf Club in Edina, Minn., June 23 - 29 and the 2010 U.S. Women's Open at Oakmont Country Club in Pittsburgh, Pa., July 5-11.
The Championship Staff, headed by Championship Director Max Novena, will be assembled over the next eighteen months. Novena has been with Bruno Event Team for three years, serving as the Sales & Marketing Director for both the 2005 and 2006 U.S. Women's Opens held in Denver, Colorado and Newport, Rhode Island, respectively.

The 30th U.S. Senior Open to be held July 27- August 2, will bring a field of 156 of the world's best professional and amateur Senior (over the age of 50) golfers to Crooked Stick Golf Club. The U.S. Senior Open will be the sixth USGA Championship staged at Crooked Stick including next year's Women's Amateur; past Championships include 1993 U.S. Women's Open, 1989 Mid-Amateur, 1983 Senior Amateur and 1982 Junior Amateur. NBC and ESPN will provide more than 16 hours of television coverage of all four rounds of the Championship.
