Carlsbad, CA (PRWEB) January 21, 2008 –– We live in an age of unprecedented anxiety and constant change. To address their needs, the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, California, is offering its 5-day Perfect Health program on a weekly basis. For more than 15 years, thousands have attended the lifestyle-balancing program designed by the Chopra Center co-founders, Deepak Chopra, M.D., and David Simon, M.D., to bring their lives back into balance, manage stress, cope with illness, and heal emotional pain.

Emotional balance is crucial not only to our happiness but to our physical well-being," said Dr. Simon. Ninety percent of the physical toxicity that causes disease is emotionally derived." In fact, many studies have shown that people who suffer from depression, anxiety, and other emotional difficulties have a much greater likelihood of developing heart disease, cancer, and other illnesses.

Perfect Health participants experience a week of personalized treatments that integrates the advances of modern Western medicine with the therapeutic practices of Ayurveda – the 5,000-year-old healing system of India. Each day, guests experience Ayurvedic massage treatments, cleansing therapies, and expert instruction in yoga and meditation. In addition, the Perfect Health program includes one-on-one consultations with the Centers medical staff – MDs who are also experts in the field of holistic healing.

The Chopra Center now offers Perfect Health each Monday through Friday, and will be holding a special ten-day Perfect Health program this June 16–25.
