IADMD.org Founder Appointed Examiner and Board Member to North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners

Dr. John J. Ryan, DMD, will oversee the licensing requirements and evaluation process of doctoral candidates in more than a dozen states.

(Vocus/PRWEB ) November 27, 2007 -- The founder of IADMD, the new doctor-led health care organization, has been appointed Examiner and Consultant to the North East Regional Board of Dental Examiners (NERB), a nonprofit, independent corporation that develops, administers, scores, and reports the results of examinations in Dentistry and Dental Hygiene.

The NERB Steering Committee named Dr. John J. Ryan, DMD, founder, president and CEO of The Int’l Assoc. of Dental and Medical Disciplines, to oversee the licensing requirements and evaluation process of licensing of doctoral candidates in more than a dozen states.

“I am honored to have been appointed by the NERB to this post,” says Dr. Ryan. “I believe in what NERB stands for and I am proud to be part of such an important organizational structure.”

Dr. Ryan, who is also a Family Dentist in private practice, previously served four years as trustee and 12 years on Peer-Review Committee under the New Hampshire Dental Society branch of the American Dental Association (ADA) and is a founding member of the dental component of Community Health Services (CHS), serving on its Executive Board for Dental and Medical that provides access to the underserved “working poor” communities.

In his new appointment, he will work with the NERB and its committees to consult over examination questions and answers, deliberation of the Disciplinary and Grievance, Credentials Committees, background reports and informational material related to examination matters and content, and determination of when newly adopted policy and informational reports will receive public distribution.

Ryan will be oriented into his new appointment with the NERB at a session in Washington, DC in January, 2008.

The NERB develops, administers, scores, and reports the results of its examinations in Dentistry and Dental Hygiene. Each state board whose members participate in the NERB accepts the results of these clinical.
