The Deputy Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, James L. Kroeker, will be the keynote speaker at the SEC Institute’s 22nd Midyear SEC Reporting Forum. The luncheon keynote address is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m.
(PRWEB) May 14, 2007 -- The Deputy Chief Accountant of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, James L. Kroeker, will be the keynote speaker at the SEC Institute’s 22nd Midyear SEC Reporting Forum. The luncheon keynote address is scheduled for Thursday, May 24, 2007 from 1:00 – 1:30 p.m.
The 22nd Midyear SEC Reporting Forum is the premier midyear update for financial officers.
Focusing on S.E.C. rules, regulations and the latest key developments in financial accounting, the event will be held at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel, Pentagon City, (Arlington, VA). This year’s hottest topics are, among others, the SFAS 157 and SFAS 159: the Fair Value Standards, Sarbanes-Oxley’s Section 404 Update, and the latest developments in the FASB’s business combination project. As usual, updates from the Division of Corporation Finance, Office of the Chief Accountant and Enforcement are also scheduled.
Other SEC featured speakers are Walter Ricciardi, Deputy Director in the Division of Enforcement, James Atkinson, Branch Chief in Division of Corporation Finance, and Ashley W. Carpenter, Professional Accounting Fellow in the Office of the Chief Accountant.
