Veterinary News Network Reports 650 Million Audience Impressions

After generating 250 million audience impressions in 2006-07 programming year, The Veterinary News Network (VNN) said it expects to surpass 650 million audience impressions for its 2007-2008 programming year ending August 2008.

Denver, CO (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 16, 2008 -- The Veterinary News Network (VNN), one of the largest providers of animal health news stories in the country, today said it expects to surpass 650 million audience impressions for its 2007-2008 programming year ending August 2008. VNN generated approximately 250 million audience impressions in its 2006-2007 programming year and approximately 66 million during the previous year. VNN began producing animal health news stories in 2005.

"This is tremendous growth," says Dr. Jim Humphries, VNN President and News Director. "To put these numbers into context, our current annual audience impressions are comparable to a pet care segment on one of the national morning news shows every single day for a full year."

We are extremely pleased with these results. It shows our news-style programming is filling a real need in today's media for medically accurate, trustworthy news stories about animal health.
For its third quarter ending May 2008, VNN reported generating more than 180 million audience impressions, $1.9 million advertising value equivalent and $7.5 million PR value equivalent. VNN also produced six new animal health news stories during the period and reported its national network of veterinary and affiliate reporters has grown to 385, an increase of 25 compared to the previous reporting period.

Results through the first three quarters of its programming year, which began September 1, 2007, were 460 million audience impressions, $4.6 million advertising value equivalent, $18.4 million PR value equivalent and 18 new animal health news stories.

"We expect impressive growth for the remainder of this year," Dr. Humphries adds. "We are extremely pleased with these results. It shows our news-style programming is filling a real need in today's media for medically accurate, trustworthy news stories about animal health."

VNN has produced 64 two-minute animal health news stories and produces two new stories each month. Each video focuses on a current animal health or veterinary medical topic. VNN videos are available to view or download at many popular Web sites including www.youtube.com (search MyVNN) and www.podcastgo.com/vnn. The VNN video library is also available at www.MyVNN.com.
