Consumers Gain Confidence in Third Party Reviews on the Web According to New WebRidesTV Survey

Consumers in the market for an automobile cite third party vehicle reviews on the Web as more influential than auto manufacturer's websites and print magazines, according to a recent WebRidesTV survey identifying consumers' attitudes toward automotive content.

WebRidesTV's latest survey "User Attitudes Toward Cars and Automotive Content" reveals that consumers are most likely to utilize automotive websites with third party reviews than any other form of media to gather information about vehicle makes and models.

Approximately 50% of respondents designate automotive websites with third party reviews as their primary source of information when purchasing a car. A declining 29% turn to auto manufacturer's websites and an even lesser amount consider print magazines as the primary source of information during the decision making process.

Survey respondents state that online automotive sites such as WebRidesTV, which produces video auto reviews exclusively for the Web, are the most powerful and effective in shaping their attitude and opinions about vehicle brands. In contrast, consumers identify legacy media formats, such as newspapers and radio, as the least effective.
