Adirondack.Net Previews 2007 Adirondack Whitewater Rafting Season

Late, heavy snow will mean plenty of thrills on the Hudson River this Spring and Summer.

Glens Falls, NY (PRWEB) May 16, 2007 -- Adventure seekers get ready! The upcoming whitewater rafting season on the Hudson River is shaping up to be one of the best in recent memory. The combination of Mother Nature's late season snow with experienced guides in the Adirondack region means fantastic experiences on the water throughout the 2007 rafting season.

The water will be BIG!
"We are looking at one of the better winters in recent years regarding the snowpack in the peaks. With the gradual melting so far we have plenty of snow ready to enter the river systems," said Bob Rafferty, owner of the Adirondac Rafting Co. in Indian Lake, NY. "We should have some BIG water this spring which in turn will fill up the lakes and provide for excellent water sports all summer."

Pat Cunningham, president of Hudson River Rafting Company, agrees. "The mighty Hudson will jump when the warm weather melts the 6+ feet of late snow, which finally came in February."

"The water will be BIG!" exclaims Douglas Azaert of Wild Waters Outdoor Center in Warrensburg. "There is a lot of snow in the mountains." Azaert adds, "Be ready to have the time of your lives. So come with an adventurous attitude!"

Sara Mannix, owner of Mannix Marketing, Inc., recently purchased Adirondack.net. "We are thrilled to be working with the rafting companies and other small businesses in the area to promote the Adirondack region," Mannix states. "As outdoor enthusiasts ourselves, one of our favorite company outings was a Hudson River rafting trip. We are looking forward to our next white water adventure!"

For more information on these and other rafting companies in the area, visit Adirondack.Net where you can also find event listings and information on Adirondack lodging, camping, hiking and other outdoor adventures.
