ON Networks Salutes Comic Books, Films & Geek Culture with New
Internet TV Show Bif! Bam! Pow! Wow!
AUSTIN, Texas (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) September 6, 2007 --
Hipper than a speeding bullet, more irreverent than a locomotive and
able to leap tall buildings with a single quip, Internet
TV show Bif! Bam! Pow! Wow! (www.bifbampowwow.tv)
makes its virtual debut via ON
Networks. The new program celebrates and critically reviews all that
geek culture holds dear: comic books, graphic novels, movies, action
figures, video games and even the occasional fantasy babe.
Bif! Bam! is hosted by Tom Seymour, a quirky Chicago comic book
store manager who offers a behind-the-counter report filled with news
and reviews for anyone interested in comics, superheroes, sci-fi or pop
culture. Seymour takes on the role of tastemaker as he doles out his
unsolicited opinions on comics and collectibles in spirited monologues,
rants, and informed “Picks and Pans”
segments. He is aided by fun graphics and sound effects alongside a
motley crew of sidekicks, man-on-the-street interviews and occasional
guest appearances.
“Bif! Bam! Pow! Wow! offers viewers a virtual
tour through the Land of Geekdom, with something for everyone –
from comic book aficionados to pop culture neophytes,”
says producer John Champion. “The show also
serves as a showcase for Tom’s quirky
personality and unique insider perspective.”
Recent episodes include a Batman-themed trip down memory lane, in which
Seymour takes on the past, present and future of the Dark Knight, and a
Spiderman-themed extravaganza, in which Seymour rates the best and worst
Spidey comics, critiques the wall crawler’s
costumes over the years, and interviews Marvel Comics artist Skottie
Young.
Future episodes will feature such topics as “The
Simpsons,” “A Hulk
By Any Other Color” and “Star
Trek: A New Frontier?” as well as exclusive
interviews with the likes of Eugene Roddenberry, Richard Hatch, Will
Wheaton and more.
Bif! Bam! Pow! Wow! is part of ON Networks’
