Punctuation is a key component in the development of good writing skills
The 30-minute program on May 5 will be devoted to punctuation. It will air from 11:30 a.m. to noon in every time zone in the United States and Canada on CBC Radio One. Internet listeners may go to http://www.cbc.ca/listen/index.html at 11:30 in their time zone and select a location from the list to hear the broadcast.

Rubin, of Pinole, CA, is also the founder of Punctuation Playtime, a school-assembly program featuring a variety of interactive learning games and activities that make learning punctuation fun for children in grades 1-6. Punctuation Playtime is also available as a training DVD for teachers.

"Punctuation is a key component in the development of good writing skills," says Rubin. "Successful people have good communication skills, and knowing how to write properly is one of them. People must know how to write properly if they are serious about success."

Jeff Rubin, AKA "Punctuation Man," is a veteran newspaperman and newsletter publisher for corporate clients. He is the founder of National Punctuation Day (September 24) and developed Punctuation Playtime. For more information, or to purchase Punctuation Playtime, visit Punctuation Playtime.
