Worthy Nation EIE Awards to be the Academy Awards for Education

The first Worthy Nation EIE Awards Gala to take place the Fall of 2008 in Las Vegas

(PRWEB) April 13, 2008 -- Education is not just a school but a system and a set of social supportive mechanisms. "It takes a village" education to show the involvement of all who support the child in learning. Bruce Goldwell (Author and Producer) and Muriel Glasgow have embarked upon an International endeavor to insure that this 'village education' is a global village whereby children all around the world can receive the best education available. Mr Goldwell and Ms Glasgow are creating a for-profit company called Worthy Nation to support a non-profit organization they are co-founding called the Worth Nation Excellence in Education (EIE) Awards Foundation which equates to the academy awards for education.

Worthy Nation Awards for Education will be given at Worthy Nation EIE Award Galas annually, whereby 5-10 or more countries will be selected to receive the WNAE -- Worthy Nation Award for Education.

Criteria for selecting countries/educational establishments will include:

1. Countries showing progress in education and fully committed to achieving the Millennium Development Goals,

2. Countries interested in seriously addressing educational challenges ( e.g.high drop-out rates, lack of relevance of educational content/curriculum, lack of motivation of teachers and students ...)

3. Countries willing to address the problems/challenges faced by youth and exhibit a willingness to introduce relevant, entrepreneurial curricula

4. Countries approved to accept coaching that will be provided by the Super Teaching International Dream Team.

The first Worthy Nations Award Gala is currently being planned for late 2008 and the proposed site is The Pearl Theater at The Palms in Las Vegas, Nevada. This Gala will also feature a new technology for educators called SuperTeaching which will level the playing field for education in every country in the world. The University of Alabama has access to this world class technology in the field of education called SuperTeaching that has been tried and tested for over 20 years in the United States of America and has shown that it affects the quality of learning and retention among students/pupils exposed to SuperTeaching (ST). SuperTeaching has won congressional approval for public education in the United States.

The ST system surrounds each teacher with a living "theater of education" while the instructor delivers the existing lesson plan paying no attention to the class room upgrade. A multiple of images are shown on the screen, including images of the students themselves, the teacher, the content, nature scenes to relax the mind and record data more deeply, using any media from power point to distant learning.

Muriel Glasgow is retired after working at the United Nations for 30 years. In February of this year, Ms Glasgow presented to 14 countries a plan to create a Worthy Nations Fund for Education whereby developed countries would donate funds so that poor countries will be able to install the new ST technology in their schools. Through the Worthy Nations Trust, companies as well as individuals will be able to donate funds to sponsor classrooms and even whole schools so they can have the ST technology.

Mr. Goldwell and Ms. Glasgow will be sending out a weekly newsletter to keep those interested in attending the EIE Awards Gala updated with the latest information about the event. To find out more about the Worthy Nation EIE Awards Gala visit www.ieief.org. With 14 countries currently in position to attend the 2008 EIE Awards Gala and almost a half dozen National and International non-profit organization, this first Worthy Nation EIE Awards Gala is looking to be a huge International event that will set the stage for future Award Gala's to follow. International Education Diplomats, State Educational Directors, National and International organizations are incouraged to reserve their place for the 2008 EIE Awards Gala as seating is expected to fill up fast. The event will be broadcast worldwide during the Awards Gala and re-broadcast 24 hours a day 7 days a week following to insure that everyone has the opportunity to see this event.
