Jasper Cooper's fantasy adventure Candara's Gift is being stocked by Waterstones throughout the country. Having reached No.1 on the Amazon Bestseller list in June it is now selling well all over the UK. In August Candara's Gift was featured on BBC News.

Canterbury, Kent, UK (PRWEB) September 25, 2006 -- It was twelve weeks ago when unknown author Jasper Cooper from Canterbury, England launched his first book Candara’s Gift. Interest in the children’s fantasy adventure is rapidly growing and readers are eagerly looking forward to the release of books 2 & 3 in the Kingdom of Gems trilogy. Waterstones have chosen to stock it throughout the UK where it is selling well after only a few weeks.

I'm continually recieving very enthusiastic comments and reviews from both children and adults who have read Candara's Gift.
Candara's Gift immediately reached the no.1 spot on the Amazon.co.uk Bestseller List after its launch in June. Since that dramatic start Candara’s Gift is now proving its popularity through steadily growing sales.

Candara's Gift takes the reader into a fantasy world that is an entirely original creation. The exciting plot grips the reader as it develops with ever surprising twists and turns. Although completely unique, Candara's Gift has been likened to Harry Potter and the Narnia stories for its appeal to the imagination. It is exquisitely illustrated by the author who also provides the reader with three finely decorated maps to follow the events in the imaginary kingdoms.

Jasper said, "I'm continually recieving very enthusiastic comments and reviews from both children and adults who have read Candara's Gift."

Readers Reviews.

"If you are looking for imagination and adventure, you couldn't do much better than read this book. On the way, you will meet friendship and courage, love and determination and above all a wonderful sense of invention."
Stephen Milne, Lincolnshire UK.

"It is descriptive without being too heavy, and on several occasions could see Disney making it into a movie, especially the comic scenes with the ravens. I wouldn't be surprised to see it up among the other successful children's classics and can't wait for the next book to be published."
Carole Pope, UK.

"...it is very gripping. This book belongs up in the ranks with the creations of J K Rowling and Philip Pullman. Can't wait for the next installment."
Helen Farmer, Sussex UK.

'The Silver Well', Book 2 in the trilogy, is expected to be published in Febuary next year, with Book 3, 'The Glass Prison," in October.

BBC southeast included a news feature about Candara’s Gift in their evening programme on Friday 11th August. To view the feature click here: Candara's Gift BBC News feature
