Francois & Co. unveiled earlier this year the Heritage Collection, a new line of flawless replicas of Antique fireplace mantels purchased and brought from France. Each and every limestone replica is hand-carved in France by fine artisans commissioned by François & Co. while the Scagliola Stone™ reproductions are hand-crafted in the company's studio located in Atlanta.
Each Stone Fireplace Mantel from the Heritage Collection is delivered with a copy of the original masterpiece's certificate of authentication which documents the origin and history of the antique upon which the Heritage piece is modeled, and bears the stamped wax seal of François & Co.
The Renaissance fireplace mantel that now takes center stage in the Great room of Ruth's Chris Steak House in downtown Calgary is a Scagliola Stone™ replica, of an Antique hand-carved stone mantel, circa 1600, purchased in France by Thierry François, owner and President of François & Co.
This Scagliola Stone™ piece is a Custom Stone Fireplace Mantel that was created on a grander scale to fit the impressive décor of Ruth's Chris Steak House located at the base of the Calgary Tower. It replicates the precision and intricacy of the original after which is was modeled, including weathering and aging done over time.
