Concerned Citizen Calls for Common Ground

Anthony Signorelli's book "Call to Liberty: Bridging the Divide Between Liberals and Conservatives" explains how extremists on both sides of the political divide have set up a false split in the American electorate, and charts a new path to constructive debate.

St. Paul, MN (PRWEB) December 7, 2006 -- Anthony Signorelli is a concerned citizen. Like most of us, he's just fed up with mean-spirited, divisive party politics. He stays awake at night worrying about the future of our country, and he felt called do something about it.

After the recent election with voters demanding civility and moderation, we're seeing a rising up of citizen philosophers, calling for renewed civic participation. Tony Signorelli is doing just that, in one of the oldest and most radical forms of communication: the book.

Call to Liberty: Bridging the Divide Between Liberals and Conservatives
He's spent a year researching and writing his book entitled Call to Liberty: Bridging the Divide Between Liberals and Conservatives. In it, he identifies traditional American principles we all share - individual sovereignty, private property and rule of law - as common ground for debate. He sheds light on huge trends that are undermining the economic, political and religious foundations of our society. He then goes on to propose some thought-provoking ideas to heal the body politic.

He found a publisher, Scarletta Press, and the book is being sold in stores and on Amazon. Tony is also going around making presentations to civic, church, community and educational organizations (and selling books out of the trunk of his '98 Toyota Corolla). He is a sort of cross between Henry David Thoreau and Johnny Appleseed, inspiring curiosity - and a bit of dissent - and spreading seeds of political hope. In front of groups like Unitarian Universalists, Catholics, Atheists, Critical Thinkers, Trade Unions, student political clubs and book clubs, Tony is earnest, makes a great presentation, and gets standing ovations.

Tony is a man with a mission. He had a choice between buying a cabin in the woods, or publishing this book. He fervently believes Americans want to go in a new direction, and he wants to do his part.
