Twenty-Something Tapped to Lead Discount Magazine Subscription Company
Ryan Alovis grew up using the Internet. His youth and knowledge of the web helped him land the top job at ArkNetMedia to become one of the youngest CEOs in the U.S.
New York, NY (Vocus/PRWEB ) June 18, 2007 -- His youth, energetic style and knowledge of the Internet ultimately landed 24-year-old Ryan Alovis the top job at ArkNetMedia, one of the nation's fastest growing magazine discount subscription services, the company announced today.
"I want the business community to understand that passion and focus still exist in today's youth," says Alovis, who's one of the youngest CEOs in America.
He's already on the job at ArkNetMedia, a division of ArkTeleServices. The company has over 280 employees in New York and Florida.
"I'm taking a family run company and pushing it to become the largest online supplier of consumer magazines in the country," says Alovis.
While most his age are just beginning their careers and working in small cubicles for major corporations, Alovis has already launched two successful companies; founded The Silver Lining Society in New York City, a non-profit established to improve the lives of children with cancer; and is now poised to lead one of the fastest growing online discount magazine companies.
A graduate of Indiana University's Kelly School of Business, Alovis considers his business management styles a hybrid of old school and new school.
He's already overseeing the launch of MagazineDiscountCenter.com (www.MagazineDiscountCenter.com), the new interactive, user-friendly web site.
"Many consumer magazine sites are poorly constructed -- their functionality doesn't allow the user to feel safe buying and they often offer unauthorized magazines at higher prices," says Alovis. "We're the opposite of that. We save people money when they buy magazine subscriptions. And we guarantee satisfaction."
