CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) September 12, 2007 --
Mary Quass NRG’s
chief executive officer, president and COO Chuck DuCoty along with Triad
CEO and President David Benjamin announced the purchase of five stations
in Lincoln, Nebraska. Broadening their regional footprint in the Midwest
radio market.
NRG Media is owned by Alta
Communications a Boston based private equity firm, an affiliate of
WaittCorp., an affiliate of Omaha based McCarthy
Group, and management. “This acquisition
is a terrific addition to the company and will help us to grow and
better serve our communities in the Midwest,”
said Quass “Our focus is to provide all of our
markets with Great Local Radio and we are committed to being an active
and integral part of the communities we serve.”
NRG Media originated from a 2005 consolidation of radio stations owned
by Waitt Media and NewRadio Group.
