BNI Primed for Growth in Mexico

Carlos Medina was retiring from Mexican politics after 20 years as a senator from the state of Guanajuato. He was searching for ways to continue serving his country and work for cultural change when he discovered BNI, an international referral networking organization.

Upland, CA (PRWEB) September 6, 2006 -- Carlos Medina was retiring from Mexican politics after 20 years as a senator from the state of Guanajuato. He was searching for ways to continue serving his country and work for cultural change when he discovered BNI, an international referral networking organization.

Now Medina, along with his daughter, Lorena Medina, are co-national directors for BNI Mexico. The two recently attended training at BNI Headquarters in the USA, and are working to form BNI chapters in Mexico. They were part of an eight person team from Mexico that came for director training.

All the theory that I had inside my head materialized all of a sudden
"What I liked most about BNI was its philosophy: Givers Gain," said Senator Medina. "I thought it was a very interesting concept. I felt strongly that it might be a good way to help achieve cultural change in Mexico through small business entrepreneurs."

The Medinas had visited local BNI chapters in southern California while they were in town for the November 2005 International Conference in Long Beach, California. They had an opportunity then to see first hand how BNI members pass referrals and support one another.

"All the theory that I had inside my head materialized all of a sudden," Lorena Medina said after visiting chapter meetings. "When I got to see how an actual chapter works finally I understood why BNI works and how the system sells itself."

Senator Medina expressed confidence in BNI's prospects in Mexico. "I'm very optimistic and think that BNI will grow fast spreading the 'Givers Gain' philosophy all over the country."
