John Schneider's Movie, 'Collier & Co.,' to Partner with Stanton Barrett, NASCAR Driver and Stunt Driver of the Movie 'The Dukes of Hazzard,' in Memphis Race

John Schneider, star of the popular TV series of the early '80s, "The Dukes of Hazzard," will premiere his new movie, "Collier & Co.," on the weekend of the NASCAR Busch Series Sam's Town 250 race. The movie's logo will be displayed on the Interush race car driven by Stanton Barrett.

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) October 12, 2006 -- John Schneider of "The Dukes of Hazzard" fame will premiere his new movie, "Collier & Co.," which he starred in and produced, on the October 26-28 weekend of the Sam's Town 250 Busch Series NASCAR race in Memphis, Tennessee. The "Collier & Co." logo will prominently be attached to the race car of NASCAR driver Stanton Barrett who also happens to be the sole stunt driver to jump the General Lee over a river along with many of the other stunts performed in the 2005 movie, "The Dukes of Hazzard" starring Jessica Simpson.

"Collier & Co." is based on a former race car driver named J.R. Collier who has decided to quit racing and start his own used car sales company due to his family's demands. This leads to a story of adventure, fun and family values as J.R. is involved in a hilarious chase involving fast speeds and long car jumps which eventually solves J.R.'s problems.

Schneider says, "I have been completely obsessed with the making of 'Collier & Co.'! The filming went very well and took up all of my time since 'Smallville' ended for me. I have been wanting to do this movie since I wrote the first draft back in 1982! And it is really exciting to team up with Stanton Barrett who I've known from the 2nd year of his NASCAR career. He has gone from a successful movie career to driving in the world's biggest auto racing series, NASCAR, which I am a big fan of. Last year, I got to attend the movie premiere of Dukes and thought Stanton did a great job driving in the movie, and now he has our movie on his Interush race car which is fantastic exposure for us knowing how big NASCAR's popularity is these days."

Stanton Barrett, an accomplished Hollywood stuntman and one of the up and coming NASCAR drivers on the Busch Series and Nextel Cup Series, plans to drive his Interush sponsored race car with the same skill and aggression he used to pilot the General Lee. "It's great that Interush has allowed us to promote this great movie with my friend, John. It's probably the perfect place for John to premiere his movie as this is the heart of NASCAR country where John and the General Lee are probably more famous than the governor of the state," says Barrett.

Interush, Inc. CEO Marty Matthews states, "I've always been a fan of 'The Dukes of Hazzard' and John Schneider so this is a great opportunity for all of us to relive the great car action that we associate with John. And with John driving the General Lee for a few laps around the track on raceday, what better combination than having Stanton driving the Interush/'Collier & Co.' race car in the Sam's Town 250 on national television!"

"Collier & Co." will play in limited showings across the country as Schneider hopes the word spreads about his movie through his fans as well as demands to theaters to bring it to their towns. Clips of the movie are already a hit on popular internet sites such as YouTube.com and MySpace.com.
