Greensboro, N.C. (PRWEB) December 14, 2007 -- Pixelweave 3D has announced that the full-service 3D visualization studio partnered with Appalachian State University to provide visualization services for their Athletic Enhancement Campaign. The project features a 3D football stadium illustrating the planned 100,000-square-foot expansion and renovation of Kidd Brewer Stadium.

Fans are more excited than ever to see the future of football at App State
With ASU's third NCAA Division I Football championship title after the win over Delaware and the historic victory over Michigan in September, Mountaineer madness has been at an all-time high. "Fans are more excited than ever to see the future of football at App State," said Mark Bradshaw, Pixelweave 3D founding partner.

The ASU Mountaineers' new 100,000-square-foot home for ASU athletics at Kidd Brewer Stadium is the cornerstone of the athletic enhancement project. With the addition of 4,400 new seats, the official seating capacity will expand to approximately 22,000. The new football stadium complex will feature state-of-the-art facilities and gracious amenities for the 18 VIP suites, new Chancellor's suite and Yosef Club seating. Plans also include the construction of new baseball, softball and all-sports indoor practice facilities. The project is targeted for completion in time for the 2008 season.

To showcase the future athletic facility for ASU, Pixelweave created a 3D football stadium featuring a range of interior and exterior images and a virtual tour. Interior 3D renderings include highly detailed, photorealistic renderings of luxury box suites featuring posh seating and upscale lounges with televisions and wet bars. Exterior renderings illustrate the dramatic scale of the football stadium from several views, including club seats, VIP entrance and plaza. Pixelweave also produced a 3D virtual tour that launches with an aerial approach to the stadium, then encircles the full expanse of the exterior and concludes by flying over the plaza and through the interior.

Pixelweave also produced photomontage renderings of the football stadium by seamlessly integrating 3D within high-resolution photography of the natural environment. For this process, Pixelweave collaborated with Technipix Virtual Images, a Triad-based company specializing in interactive virtual reality photography. Pixelweave used the photographs from Technipix along with aerial photography, to create composite images depicting the 3D stadium from field-level and overhead perspectives on the existing site.

The 3D football stadium and other visualizations for ASU can be seen at pixelweave.com.

"It was a great opportunity to work with Appalachian State University," said Marshall Reiss, Pixelweave 3D project director. "Our goal was to translate the client's vision into photorealistic 3D images--from the premium seats, to the luxury boxes, right down to the hotdog stand. We like to say that we deliver Hollywood quality, Carolina style."
