Sandy, UT (PRWEB) May 21, 2008 -- Postcard magnet mailers increase trade-show traffic, was part of the conclusion of a study conducted by Georgia Southern University. The study found that nearly half of the people who came by a trade-show booth had received a pre-show mailing. An impressive 36% of all visitors to the booth had received a postcard magnet mailer with the magnet imprinted with the exhibitor's name and information.

The test group with the lowest response rate, only 23% of total visitor's, had received only the postcard.

The study concluded that using promotional products, such as a postcard magnet mailer, in conjunction with a pre-show mailing makes an effective tool to inform, remind and persuade attendees to stop by the booth. The greater traffic generates more selling opportunities and more sales leads.

The test was conducted by dividing pre-registered attendees into three test groups, each invited to come by an exhibitor's booth. The first group received a postcard, the second group received a postcard magnet mailer, and the third group received a postcard and a T-Shirt.

Postcard magnet mailers have also been found to be effective in traditional direct mail marketing. A study conducted by the Direct Marketing Association concluded that "a postcard with a magnet attached is read at least 51.9% more often than a traditional postcard."

"Postcard magnet mailers are more powerful," says Ryan Christensen, owner of American Printing & Promotions, "because they don't get thrown away. A postcard will be seen once and thrown in the garbage. A postcard magnet mailer will stand out when it's received in the mail, and go on to be seen again and again, day after day, because the magnet will be kept on the kitchen fridge, the highest traffic area in the home."
