Primera, TitleMatch, Pioneer and Sonic to Show Fully-Functional DVD on Demand Solution at CES

PLYMOUTH, Minn. (Business Wire EON/PRWEB ) January 7, 2008 -- Primera Technology, Inc., the worlds leading developer and manufacturer of CD, DVD, and Blu-ray Disc duplication and printing equipment, today announces their participation, along with Sonic Solutions and TitleMatch Entertainment Group, in the Pioneer booth at the Consumer Electronics Show #9827. The companies will be demonstrating the worlds first fully-functional Qflix DVD-on-Demand system.

Primera and Pioneer both have strong reputations for reliability and ease of use - probably the most critical elements for systems that will be installed at retail locations.
Primeras automated disc publishing systems are able to record and print discs that offer virtually the same levels of compatibility, reliability and security as mass-produced titles. The companys Bravo XRP Disc Publisher features two of Pioneers BDC-202MR Optical Drives for fast recording at point-of-sale as well the encryption of Sonics Qflix recordable CSS technology.

News Image Primera is excited to be supplying the automated disc publishing devices for complete DVD on Demand solutions, said Mark D. Strobel, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Primera. We are proud to be a part of this revolutionary technology that will undoubtedly reshape the way consumers shop for movies and other digital content.

The Pioneer booth at CES will feature a demonstration of the TitleMatch DVD On-Demand kiosk that allows retail customers to purchase DVD movies and home entertainment directly from a touch screen. Discs are then burned, printed direct-to-disc and dispensed to the customer on the Bravo XRP.

Were very pleased to be showing Primeras industry-leading disc publishers with our Qflix-enabled DVD recordable drives, said Paul Dempsey, senior vice president at Pioneer Electronics (USA) Inc. Primera and Pioneer both have strong reputations for reliability and ease of use probably the most critical elements for systems that will be installed at retail locations.

DVD on Demand systems are expected to be deployed at major retailers beginning in early 2008. For more information, contact Primera at 1-800-797-2772 or +1-763-475-6676. Email to sales@primera.com or visit www.primera.com.
