Home for Emancipated Foster Youth Built Off Profits of Trump University Student's First Investment Property

Trump University student reinvests profits from first property sale into Daughters of Hope, an all-girls home for career and life skills training for emancipated foster youth.

New York, New York (PRWEB) May 22, 2008 -- A former foster youth, Esperanza Hansen realized a life-long dream to help other foster girls learn career and life skills by building the Daughters of Hope off real estate investments made with Trump University's guidance.

After completing Trump University's Real Estate Investment Courses, Hansen bought and sold her first investment property for a $54,000 profit. Using a 1031 exchange that she learned at Trump University, Hansen bought the home for the foster youth for $100,000 less than the appraised value.

Without the grace of God, my knowledgeable real estate coach and the vision of Trump University to empower me with the knowledge and methods I needed to find and purchase the right properties, none of this would have been possible
The non-profit Daughters of Hope provides a home for emancipated foster youth while they go to school or enter the workforce. The Victorian house located in Visalia, California is in the final stages of restoration. Designed to provide a home-like environment, the Daughters of Hope will provide an opportunity for the girls to learn life skills by living with others and taking care of the house.

"I had to struggle when I was growing up, and I wanted to give back to my community," said Hansen who is a registered nurse. "Not having the funds myself, I decided to get into real estate investment hopefully not only to find the home I wanted for Daughters of Hope, but to make a profit off a sale or two. Then I could reinvest the profits in the girls' home."

"Trump University is pleased that Hansen was able to learn the skills she needed to make a profitable investment, and then use the profits to purchase the right property for the Daughters of Hope," said Josef Katz, Vice President of Marketing for Trump University. "Today, in the United States, over 25,000 children leave the foster care system with no where to go, becoming homeless. Daughters of Hope is helping by opening the door to a safe, loving home where the emancipated foster youth can grow up and be successful."

After Daughters of Hope's home is complete and the emancipated foster youth are settled in, Hansen plans on pioneering an all-male home, and searching for the right property. "Without the grace of God, my knowledgeable real estate coach and the vision of Trump University to empower me with the knowledge and methods I needed to find and purchase the right properties, none of this would have been possible," said Hansen.
