San Antonio, TX (PRWEB) April 22, 2008 -- Chicago Public Schools (CPS), the 3rd largest public school district in the nation, approved the adoption of a district-wide web-based gradebook on January 23rd. No school district as large as CPS has ever implemented an enterprise-wide electronic gradebook solution. As of the 2007-2008 school year, CPS has more than 600 schools and services about 409,000 students.

"The Campusware gradebook solution presents a great opportunity for us to significantly improve the user experience for our teachers," said Robert Runcie, Chief Information Officer of Chicago Public Schools.

"In addition, it gets us to the next level where we will soon have a compelling proposition for engaging our parents."

Campusware, based out of San Antonio, Texas, has been making the grading process easier with GradeSpeed since 1989. In addition to the gradebook software, additional modules are available to districts including: a parental access portal, discipline tracking, attendance, lesson plan management, custom report cards and more. Currently, GradeSpeed.NET version 4.0 is in use at hundreds of school districts in the United States and across the globe. http://www.gradespeed.net
